Depaul on Tour

In spite of the festival 'mud' trend this summer, Depaul volunteers are preparing to go on tour to a field near you. To kick off the festival season, we're looking forward to being down at Oxegen again this year!  Last year we engaged with thousands of festival fans and gave them an insight into how Depaul is changing lives every day.

The Depaul TentOur main event is the captivating Life's No Picnic on the Streets Exhibition at Electric Picnic from the 2nd-4th of September. Now its forth year, you can expect a whole new wave of engaging art, film and narrative from our service users. Music & poetry are being added this year along with a host of interesting and compelling visual installations.

We'll also make an appearance at our favourite 'non-field' festivals for independent Irish music, the ever-trendy Hard Working Class Heroes festival in Dublin this October!

Volunteers at OxegenThe festival season around Ireland allows us to take our work on "tour" and demonstrate what Depaul is doing well every day. Through conversations with festival-goers it is an opportunity to widen our supporter base and raise our profile.  Thus, we're hoping to be able to expand our festival presence at Forbidden Fruit and other fabulous festivals around the whole of Ireland next year!

We would love to meet you this summer so if you are planning on attending one of these festivals this year, do come and say hi to us!

Keep up to date with the festiaval (and non-festival) goings on you can follow us on Twitter or like us on Facebook.
