Between the Republic of Ireland and Northern Ireland, Depaul Ireland currently employs over 280 staff and engages over 185 volunteers (including part-time, fulltime and placement students).

kerry anthony

KERRY ANTHONY, MBE

Chief Executive Officer   

Kerry Anthony has worked for Depaul Ireland since 2005 as the Director of Services and since 2007 as the Chief Executive.

She has been working in the field of homelessness for 13 years in a variety of settings and roles, in London, Glasgow, Dublin and Belfast. 

She holds a Masters in Social Work and a Masters in Voluntary Sector Management.

Kerry is particularly interested in how to use leadership roles to ensure that there is continued innovation in service provision and to address and break the cycle of social exclusion.   

At 35, Kerry was recently made an MBE in the Queens New Years Honours list.       

david carroll

DAVID CARROLL

Director of Services

David Carroll has been working with Depaul Ireland since August 2009 as Director of Services. 

He has spent the last 7 years working in homelessness services in a senior management role in service provision, development, policy and research.

As a professionally qualified social worker , he has considerable experience in the field of addiction particularly drug use and has also worked in the areas of child protection and mental health.

David holds a BSc Hons (CQSW) in Social Work and a MA in Social Science and has particular interest in poverty, social exclusion and drug use issues.


aoife watters

AOIFE WATTERS

Director of Finance

Aoife has been working with Depaul Ireland since 2006. She originally worked as Audit manager in accountancy practices in London and Dublin.

Aoife developed an interest in charity accounts in her last position and chose to develop this by moving from the private sector to the voluntary sector 3 and a half years ago. She brings her professional financial training to her current role and seeks to continue to develop robust financial practices in Depaul.

Aoife is a Fellow of the Chartered Certified Institute of Accountants, and a fully qualified member of the Institute of Taxation in Ireland. She holds a Bachelor of Business Studies (Hons) from Trinity College, Dublin.

 

brian higgins

BRIAN HIGGINS

Senior Development Manager

Brian has been working with Depaul since 2002 in the Republic of Ireland, Northern Ireland and the USA. 

Having started with our first project in Dublin, Brian moved back to Belfast in 2003 to develop the organisation in Northern Ireland. 

Brian previously worked at Queens University Law School and with young offenders in Dublin and street children in Zambia. 

Brian holds a Master of Social Science degree in Criminology.

christine littlefield

CHRISTINE LITTLEFIELD

Senior Services Manager, Dublin

Christine working with Depaul Ireland since January 2006.

She has been working in the homeless sector in Dublin and Belfast for 8 years and has worked in Depaul Ireland in many of our Dublin services in various different roles.

Christine holds a BA in politics and sociology, and an MSSc in Criminology.


 

 

deirdre canavan

DEIRDRE CANAVAN

Senior Services Manager, Belfast

Deirdre has been working with Depaul Ireland since 2009. She was instrumental in the setting up of the first Depaul Ireland service outside of an urban area.

Deirdre began her working life as a General Nurse-U.K.C.C for Nursing and Midwifery for over ten years. She then qualified to work in financial services and did so for over ten years before returning to the caring profession. In 2002, Deirdre has returned to services based management positions within the voluntary and public sector working primarily with vulnerable adults and young people. She holds an Advanced Diploma in Management Practice.

Within her Senior Services Manager role in Depaul Ireland, she continues to enhance her leadership skills and is making a positive contribution to the organisation.


 

jackie farrell

JACKIE FARRELL

Office Manager, Dublin

PA to the CEO & SMT

Serving as PA to the CEO and Dublin Office manager since 2005, supporting senior services and the organisation as a whole, Jackie is the longest serving member of Central Office team.

Through out her life she has been connected to the vision, mission and values of the Vincentian family, and has worked previously in the secondary education supporting adolescents with behavioural difficulties. 

Jackie has been a part of the organisation's growth over the past 5 years and has seen the exponential growth of the organistion. Her commitment and knowledge of the organisation is second to none!

SERVICES-BASED ROLES



At the heart of the work that Depaul Ireland does is our Services. The roles that make up the staff teams within our services include: Project Group Managers, Managers, Deputy Managers, Case Management Workers, Project Workers, Health Support Workers, Relief Project Workers, Cleaners, Cooks, Fulltime Volunteers, Part-time Volunteers & Student/Work Placements.

SUPPORT ROLES


Ou services are supported by additional staff including: Volunteer & Student Placement Coordination, Community Befriending Coordination, Pastoral Care, Child Support Worker and the Health Initiative (including Nurses and a Mental Health Support Worker). 

Dublin and Belfast Office based support roles include Senior Management, Finance, HR, Fundraising and Administration.
